As I posted before, I went to the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Valkenburg.
What a madness !!!...guys on hockey skates going down a track with sometimes a 35% decline, going at 60mph topspeeds !!.

It was hard getting some good shots in low light and with my gear. Also people climbing the boarding and being in the way....grrrr. Still, managed to get a few shots that seem to be somewhat decent, and with a bit of lightroom magic (cropping drastically, nose reduction and a touch vibrance and whitebalance) these are a few of the better shots.

How do you think I did, under the circumstances ??

Ron, there is a plexiglas boarding on the inside, just like in a hockey rink.
There is a pile of Canadians skating in this competition, they can handle a boarding ;)

WTF with shot #3...guy had no helmet on? Nice shots BTW.

Scott Croxall had a little run in earlier and lost his helmet.
Didn't stop him from winning that heat though !

I think the pictures look really nice for how you thought they would turn out and the response you go from people. Really I think they are very good.

Thanx GrantH. I am certainly glad that I brought my DSLR and considering the circumstances, I am pretty happy with my pics.
