Another from the same day as my recent deer shots. This one was standing in the last rays of warm evening sun, literally 30 seconds before it went below the horizon. The light was on the wrong side of him but this did let me catch the lovely bright glow around both him and the grass in front of him. I really like the way the glow contrasts against the cold, blue surroundings of the imminent autumn night.

D200, Nikon 200-400 VR at 280mm, 1/40 second at f5.6, ISO 200, Monopod.
 
i like the backlit, "silver lining" on this guy... i'm really enjoying all these deer shots... :thumbup:
 
Love the sunset glow on his fur and the grass. Great capture.
 
You saw and framed this scene PERFECTLY!
Wonderful in the glow of the last ray of light ... outlining his fur in pure gold. Just wonderful!

Nice use of the rim lighting that was there.
