Some nice shots here, my favourites being 3 & 4 although the nose scratching pose looks a little odd but the background is very nice.

I hate it when they just won't do what you want, its very frustrating lol. Don't they realise if they just posed nicely for us for 10 minutes we'd leave them alone then! :)

I know, even tried to bribe them with a tenner but they were not having any of it, but you can get good shots when a walker with their dog goes by;) Dogs and Deer don't get on very well.

Just hoping for better weather next time I go

Don't I know it, I actually have a man on a bike to thank for my recent picture of a Fallow Deer running...lol

I want some fog or rain shots so hoping for that, shouldn't be too hard for rain now the autumn has kicked in...!

about a weeks time then ;)

These shots were taken in Richmond Park as we were kicked out of Bushy Park because we hadn't asked for a permit to take photos :grumpy:

You need a permit to take photos in a park? What is the world coming to?

I guess I'm going against the general consensus, but I like the colours and dof in #1.

A permit??? Thats the first time I've ever heard of that! I guess I got lucky that nobody saw me taking shots then! My friend who came with me has been to Bushy loads over the last few weeks but not had anyone say anything to him. Shocking!!

more nice shots lp, digging the last 2...

Cheers everyone.

funny thing was that we had been there about 2-3 hours taking shots of the Fallow without a problem but about 20minutes of taking shots of the Reds a landrover drove up to us and that was the end of that, so we moved off to Richmond Park

I have been looking into this permit lark...
It seems that if you are taking shots for commercial purposes ie publishing, retail etc you need to obtain a licence, but if you are taking shots for personal use only, as a hobby, you don't need permission. Trouble is when a warden sees "PRO" equipement being used thay automatically think you are a pro....
Walking around in green coats with camouflage cover over your white lens don't help much :er:
