I walked outside at about 10pm (in Maryland) and the moon was so bright that it looked like spot lights were shining up in the air. But I didn't see the eclipse. Didn't know what time it was supposed to be. I tried to get a couple shots of the moon, but I don't know how they turned out.
They turned out alright. Unfortunately I only had a 105mm macro lens which isn't sharp at infinity at the best of times. We had cloud cover for the first hour while the moon was moving through the umbra but it cleared up during totality. I actually think I probably got better images through the clouds though. We'll see anyway.
Will take me a few days to process though I have a big backlog from a wedding
