The pale orange background doesn't do it for me in this photo. The smoke is very nice and I like the blown out highlights in it giving it a very three dimensional feel, but the background just totally ruins the shot for me personally.

It looks like smoke running up in air as well as ink running down in water at the same time; liked it; the golden brown background is a bit dominating though

I didn't think the background worked very good either.

I did it playing with Curves and Levels.
