Renring lighting...?

Hey y'all! Just a quick question: Have any of you ever rented lighting (2 alien bees/soft boxes)? If so, around what did you pay? If not, what would you be willing to pay? Thanks!

I've rented lighting, but not Alien Bees. If I was renting studio strobes, I wouldn't be renting Alien Bee's.

I rented some 12,000 watt, Arri T24 fresnel tungsten lighting, and various accessories for an outdoor location shoot. It all cost me (actually, the client) $8000 for 3 days.

How much I would be willing to pay would depend on which Alien Bee's and what size soft boxes I needed to rent, B400's, B800's, B1600's, or some combination thereof.

Since you can buy an AB for $250, I can't imagine anyone would want to pay more than $50. Agreed, if I was renting equipment, I'd want high end stuff.
