I have no idea how accurate canonrumors.com is, but there's an interesting post that should make Rotanimod happy:

Canon will be launching a new camera later in October. Already in production and described internally as a “Nikon-killer”, it is reportedly a camera with lower megapixels than might be expected for a new release, but with excellent dynamic range and ISO performance.

I've been enjoying all the rumors. It does seem that something is coming in the way of a new camera though!

Canon rumours has had a 100% certain rumour of a new 100-400mm for the last 9 years and a similar track record with a new 24-70mm f2.8 IS L and 24-105mm f2.8 IS L

In short most of the stuff is either dreams or guesswork based on past release dates and upgrades; Canon simply does not have rumour leaks right up until just before a release event itself (like a few days). Only then are rumours mostly reliable and its so close that you might as wlel wait for the official release.
