I ended up paying $50 for an American strat. It's only a highway one, but I'm replacing the pickups and putting in a single coil humbucker for one of 'em.

BC RICH!!?! .....Les Paul, or PRS....or nothing.

The only person who ever made me want to possibly pick up a strat, is David Gilmour. If you are going to replace the pickups, get the setup he uses. I forget what it is ( all single coils though ), but I know someone makes a signature line of Gilmour pickups.
