I just saw this meteor/rocket looking thing flying through the western sky between Phoenix and Los Angeles  . I was driving home at the time, so I pulled over and used my car to steady the camera as my tripod broke over the weekend :grumpy: . Turns out it was a "rocket launching a pentagon satellite" into space, according to CBS news. Manual Mode, 6 seconds at F5.6, ISO 400, 64mm I took this about 30 minutes ago, right after it happened. I cropped out the blurry roof of my car.

The light is from the sun shining through the rocket's vapor trail.

I have never seen anything like this before. Very interesting.

holy smokes, all of my pictures are super blurry anything over .5 second shutter

maybe you could photo shop the white on the house to match the other darker house

Nice job, cool picture!!

Great shot, i was on my way home last night. NO camera in the car...... I also had no idea what it was when it was streaking across the sky. Great capture
