The landscapes (Watson Lake - Hidden Valley) appear to have similar origins- intruded granite, exposed by erosion. Doesn't look like as much faulting as in the Joshua Tree NP though.

I need to change 'dikes' to intrusions. I heard a couple weeks ago that is the 'new' proper name.
