The porch shot is perfectly framed and that certainly is a proud family! I would like to see a night shot of the porch with all the light strings on. Maisy at the pulper is outstanding!!! The lighting is very strong. I am seeing a "kid" moment as opposed to "isn't she CUTE". Very refreshing! What is a pulper?

The pulper sits behind the local newpaper building. It's a giant, rusty, metal ball with huge rivets and gears. Lots of great texture. Once upon a time it was used to make or recycle newspaper, or something like that. It's about 3 blocks from our house and we walk down there a lot. It has always intrigued me, but basically is surrounded by unphotogenic parking lots. So instead of making it the subject, I started using it as a background for shots of my daughter. There are many other shots of Maisy and the pulper on my website.

Nice work Matt, love the last one beautiful tone. Reminds me of a Sally Mann.

It pains me to have the words "Rollei" and "snapshots" in the same phrase.

May I remind you, my darling Matt, that we photogs do not "take snapshots". We "capture candids", ok? Please make a note of it.

Beautifully framed and exposed images, as usual.

Thanks for the explanation of the pulper. I've seen it before in your Maisy shots, and wondered what that thing was.
