I dont think the HDR was necessary, they look vary cartoony.

The HDR isn't bad, the extremity of the tone mapping is often a matter of opinion. The composition of these photos is what throws me off. I don't know exactly where to look, like it's pretty distracting! I'd try shooting from different angles!

I am sure the exposure benefitted from the HDR as the shadow area would likely have had zero details without multiple exposures. They are a bit overcooked, but not bad. The focus is tack sharp. I like them.
