Hi Guys,

I really like the depth of field on this image, but I feel its lacking something, I reckon lafoto will like the green though

I think it could do with some editing, what do you think?

Well, I saw your "OTE" underneath the photo and just gave it a bit of play in PS lassoing the fence stones and adjusting their levels being 80 % feathured (if that is the way to put it?), and then I applied a bit of unsharp mask and cropped it in "my way" so the rook would be moved a bit off centre.

Let's have a look at my edit:

Do you think there's still something lacking?

Hey Lafoto,

Nice attempt, thanks for trying I think I need to get closer, good excuse for more practice. Difficult to get these birds doing something interesting, they normally just sit about looking gothic Off to a graveyard I think as I reckon its the wrong background for the type of bird.

Taking out the washed out look on the stones helped tho

I like the DOF a lot, and I like LaFoto's edit as well. The original appears a bit overexposed and that coupled with a pretty centered focal point takes away from the impact a bit. I'd love to see your next attempts!
