Roosting Rights Violation

Well, what a morning. This nice osprey and the missus were minding their own business, one hunting, the other guarding the nest when Along comes this Heron who decides the tree could stand another occupant..and this did not go well with the present tenant, thus a squabble ensued. In the end, though the trees blocked me from recording it, the two Osprey ganged up on the Great Blue and sent him packing.

Very cool. I have (not very good shots) of a Snowy and a Hawk from last year battling it out. The snowy won.

I can't wait until our osprey's come back. I know of 7 nests and plan to stalk all of them.
