It was summer solstice here yesterday, its nice to know that summer is on its merry way.

I am curious if there is any who suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD? Most of these folks get it during winter. I understand that its depression from that orginates from a lack of sunlight.

Does winter make any of you morbid?

winter brings me down loads.
Having SAD sucks donkey balls.
I try to be positive as much as i can and i try and stay away from people when i'm feeling crap so i don't bring them down too but unfortunatley my girlfriend doesn't get much choice in the matter. But that just gives me an excuse to love her twice as much in the summer :D :D 8)

im not crazy about winter, but i complain if its too hot in the summer

We've got a 125 gallon saltwater reef aquarium in our living room with about 500 watts of full-spectrum daylight lighting. It does a pretty good job of giving us extra 'sunlight' during the winter.

Personally, I freakin love fall/winter. I hate summer--there are loads of bugs, electric bills for AC are through the roof, and I hate feeling sweaty all the time. I get out of the shower in June and before I can even dry off I'm sweaty again. Bleah!

I hate being cold, and running across parking lots in the cold wind....but I do love wintry nights inside with a fire roaring and a nice glass of wine.... I also hate those summer days when it's too hot to sit on the patio and fans are blowing down on me all day. :?

I don't get SAD, but admit I'm much happier with Daylight Savings Time.

<<<<---another whiner

im already depressed and when it gets dark at 5:30pm, it only affirms my belief that I should off myself.

scratch that...better yet...

I could pull an edgar allan Poe and walk off into the 5:30pm sunset and never return.

is there any thing you can do for that? its a shame i think

its a beautiful season, all of em are. at least in virginia.

if your longing for the sun, say goodbye to it every night. the lack of leaves makes for simply awesome sunsets, nightly too. i live in a pretty heavily wooded area, but i can now see right through the forest to heaven as the sun sets. if im lucky i get a sunrise twice a week or so.

maybe theres nothing i can do to rid you of the disorder, or lessen the effect. im familiar with a few disorders. but maybe taking half an hour out or so to see the sunset, with your girlfriend, for you who mentioned her, if it doesnt keep you happy, at least it will be a few extra happy memories.

i find myself looking up at 11:40 and when i see how the clouds form, i start anticipating the sunset. i plan my day around it. cant see any movies until after it sets, or way before.

my 2 pennies.

i hope i just didnt go off on all the good things and reasons you should be happy. i know that doesnt help if your depressed. just wanted to share what keeps me happiest in the winter.

I really enjoy the winter when there is snow outside. Besides that I am outside alot when it does snow and then I am not affected by SAD. However if it is just cold on the weekends when I can go out many times I will not. After a while it does get a little depressing.

They also have a vitamin supplement for some people to take now that have this really bad.

I am really an outdoor nut, and would prefer to be outside all time if the weather would mostly cooperate.

hmm today i experienced what u are talking about.

it might just be that my happiness is off to mexico for a week, but today it was 3:30 and the sun was low in the sky, and i was quite sad, and when i found it was only mid afternoon i was even agrivated that the day was so slow and painful

i'm morbid year round. :p

i guess i don't get bummed during winter because of where i live. it doesn't snow here or anything. we get ice, but that's about it. and i love when it's cold and overcast. it's my favorite kind of weather. i guess i'm just lucky that way. ;-)

If you love that kind of weather then Oregon is the place for you Carli! Come on up, i'll show you around :)

Hey man, As every healthy young man these days knows (Carli as well probably) that is not B-movie music, that beat is strictly set aside for Hard Core Porn!......... Cheap drum machines kickin lame beats to the screams and moans of paid fake orgasms...... Ahhhh the glory of porn!

In all seriousness though, I don't mess with internet chicks, i'll be friends with em, but man they can be pyscho after you slip em the (insert male genitalia word here)!!!!!! Not that Carli is pyscho or anything :taped sh:
