Ahh, very interesting textures captured. Did you use a kit lens? I think a faster lens might have helped you out a bit more with the handheld shot.
Overall very nice capture! IMHO

he was allready at 1/20 shutter, I would agree if the shot was like 1/10th and blurry, the blur you see looks intentional. It works for me...

Also, great detail ... I am getting hungry
