Last time I took one of the boats, the ducks approached to panhandle.Hope the boats give way to the ducks.
One of really underrated places to visit for a quick vacation. So many historical, cultural, and recreational opportunities. And really nice people.Nice image. My wife, my family, and I have spent many great times on the Riverwalk. I believe it has changed a bit since our last visit but it is always a fun place to visit. I have a photo somewhere of a dove with the sculpture in the background.
Nice shot. It is wonderful that so many of the old missions have been preserved.

Casa Rio, a long-time institution.
Going right down those stairs was a jazz club both inside and a separate outside show. Listened to several different acts over the years and still have a CD from one of the groups. It was a great place to relax.

During the Vietnam unpleasantness, I was a recruit there. Just before I got there, a DI had struck and badly injured a recruit, and as a result, the DIs were very, very careful to only yell at us.San Antonio is one of my favorite places, well, except for Lackland... that place was hell for a recruit like me...
