Sandhill Cranes and a sunset

I went back home from college this weekend, to southern Indiana. Every year, the Sandhill Cranes migrate through the area and land in big flocks in the corn fields. My sister and I wandered into the field a little ways to take pictures, but we managed to scare them away before we got many good pictures of them landed. I was okay with that, though, because I like them in flight much better.

These are straight out of the camera.

3. This one was taken in the car ride home. I put my camera in scene mode on the sunset setting, rolled down the window, and snapped this as we were driving. I think it turned out fairly well, other than the greenish lens flare in the lower part of the sky. I might try the clone that out later.

Don't care for the Sandhill Crane pictures, but that sunset picture is really nice. Wish it didn't have that lens flare from the sun though...distracting.
