Sandhill cranes

I am not a wildlife photographer. At all. Not even a little bit. But the cranes are here right now so I figured why not.

Not bad for someone who professes to "not" be a wildlife photographer - with a little practice you could have a new calling. The second one could have used a slightly greater depth of focus as the younger ones on the left, at the back, are a little fuzzy.

I like the first one as it is quite sharp and you have the eyes in focus - important aspect of wildlife photography, particularly birds. My only suggestion would be to watch the cropping - there is such a thing as too close cropping.

Looks like you have some room to bump the exposure up a bit.
