I'm wondering if anyone here is using any scaling software, and if so, what they think. I've been playing with two demos that I found.

Genuine Fractals

Extensis Pxl SmartScale

Both seem pretty cool, producing amazing scales with giant file sizes, but I would be very interested in learning what other people think, and if there are other programs out there that might be better.

I have not worked with any yet but I have heard GREAT things about Genuine Fractals from a few photo magazines.

I have seen the results of Genuine Fractals as large prints (like 3'+) from low-res file, and it blows my mind. I don't know anything about SmartScale yet. From what I've heard, those are the top two choices.

Recently I have used S-Spline 2 (now PhotoZoom), the results
are REALLY AMAZING

I just downloaded the demo for this, thanks for the link. It has by far the most control over image parameters.

Of the three, I would say GenuineFractals has the most awkward use and integration, but their resultant image is fantastic.

It is hard to tell which of the three is producing the best result. They all seem pretty close to my untrained eye.
