I am currently attending Sam Houston State working on my BFA in photography and i plan on getting my MFA. I am looking around at schools and was wondering what suggestions you all have for graduate schools.

SVA - NYC
RIT - Rochester, NY (upstate)
Brooks - Santa Barbara, CA
Missouri School of Journalism - supposedly the finest, for pj programs
International Center of Photography,NYC - another pj haven - Cornell Capa is the Founding Director
Rockport College - Rockport, ME
Newhouse School - Syracuse University - Upstate NY
Parsons - NYC

It will really pay to see specifically what each has to offer. From the info I have, Brooks is a very good technical school. You will learn all about how to expose properly, etc., but anything to do with "art" is completely left up to you. At RIT they have several degree programs. If you went for a Fine Arts in Photography, it would be all about art, and while you'd still learn a little about equipment, you'd touch only a fraction of the cool cameras they have in the cage.
