SD to CF adapter?

One of my cf cards went bad (won't read or format in the camera anymore). CF cards seem quite pricey compared to SD, so I was thinking about getting an adapter to use SD cards in my canon. Anyone use one? Does it work well?

Never tried an adapter so can't help you there. However I use these in my 7D and never had any issues. Not to expensive, had mine for almost 3 years now and no mishaps. I use several 8 GB vs. one big one in case of loss or malfunction. Then I only lose a limited # of shots.

From what I hear, write speeds suck.

Yeah, I was worried about both the speed and also possibly incompatibilities or errors occurring. Thanks for the link petto, I will probably just get another cf card unless anyone chimes in with a better experience.
