I took a few pictures of my girlfriend for a photography assignment. This was the only one that I ended up liking:

This shot could use a little more contrast. In future, get some light on her front/face. Maybe all it would take is something to reflect some light back onto her.

Also, try to get some light in her eyes to get some catch lights. Without them, the eyes look dull and lifeless.
