self portrait - critique please

taken for a photography class project. i liked how it turned out so i thought i would share it with you all. i would have liked to add a border in photoshop but its not working at the moment. :cry: anyways...

It doesn't look like either of the subjects is in good focus. I know it's hard to take a photo when you're not behind it, controlling everything. But I like the idea. Good luck on your project

I thought so, too, and that is its strongest point. If an image can evoke an emotion, then it's working.

I find the background kind of destroys this.
It would also be nicer with more focus
