I am guessing you were going for the *High Contrast* look.
If you were, good job! I actually like that style of photograph.

I really like the high contrast, however my big complaint is the camera hiding your face. I see this all the time in photographer's self-portraits, and I personally don't see the benefit of including it. Especially when it hides your face (what kind of portait doesn't include your face? It could be anyone behind that camera! ).
