Self taught videographer learning photography.

Hi all. I'm new to photographery, but as you know with the huge amount of videographers turning to dslrs in the past few years, myself inlcuded, we have had the option to do high quality stills as well. So doing video gigs for the past few years with dslrs I've had people ask me if I could do some stills as well. I'm learning photoshop and figuring out the stills side of my camera the past year by trial and error mostly. And thats how I learnt video pretty much. Took me a long time to get to where I am with video.

I figured though it would help if I joined something like this to get some feedback on my stills and as questions on how to get a specific shot I want. I follow some photographers on facebook and twitter and some are very helpful but others seem to keep their tricks to themselves as if it is like giving away a magic trick or something. I hope this community will be helpful and straight forward and I look forward to getting help and eventually helping others along the way.
