Hey guys
I'm creating calendars for next year and I'm planning on selling through local pubs and information centres ect.
What is usual commission for this sort of thing?
Is it best to sell the calendars to them and you get the money up front? Or just as they sell?

Hope this makes sense

thanks , Charlotte

I wish you luck - calendars are a tough sell these days, what with everyone having a computer, smart-phone, etc readily at hand, and banks, insurance companies, etc giving away paper ones. Unless you've got a really good subject at a very reasonable price, I don't foresee a lot of money being made. If you can get a retailer to buy them from you, that's great, and definitely the way to go, but I would be surprised if many (any) were willing to do that. No idea about Aus, but if I were to do that here, I'd expect to lose at least 25% commission to the retailer.

I sell calendars every year. I do it on my own, but I would think a 75/25 split, to you and a retailer, would be acceptable. Maybe 70/30...
