Hi Folks,
I'm thinking about setting up a small studio in my garage. I've been getting more and more into portrait work recently and especially kids and family photos.
My garage is about 8 metres by 4 metres and I'd love to set it up as a halfway decent studio WITHOUT spending a fortune. There are only two tiny windows so I'll need to light everything electrically. Where should I start? What do I need? Clueless really:blulsh2:

Shoot in doorways. Really. David Williams is famous for it. He has a studio, but doesn't use it. Natural light is best.

My garage is 6m x 3m so consider yourself lucky with the space. I only have a 7.5' high ceiling too :(

Equipment though is something worth reading a lot about. Check this site out and read a lot of the tips there. www.lightingmagic.com I would certainly recommend buying the book too.

Regards
Jim

Check out alien Bees lights, great bang for the buck. Also looking at picking up a nice big soft box, you will love it. (or Octogon shaped one!!!)
