Settings for lightning shots??

Hello all, i'm fairly new to photography and i was wondering what settings y'all use for lightning shots? I searched the forums and found just a little bit of information, namely large aperture and a slow shutter speed. I'm assuming that you use the largest aperture that you have, but the shutter speed i'm not quite sure about. Just wondering what your "go to" settings are for nighttime lightning shots (i guess dark daytime shots, too please). Thanks alot.

Like Phranquey said in the other thread, you are putting yourself in harm's way. If you're not willing to suffer the potential consequences associated with lightning photography, don't do it.
