Settings for shooting self with a manual lens

I've never shot video with a manual lens before. How do I set focus? Do I just stop down far so that I can get a lot into focus? I know nothing of this topic. TIA

It depends if you are gonna be in one place put a chair or a stand in the place you will be and focus in that. if you are moving around a lot prolly stopping down would be best. If your camera has an articulating screen turn it so you can see yourself tho its not 100%
