sharpening in 16 bit mode

anyone know if it's better than sharpening in 8bit mode?

I think just about everything is better in 16bit mode. More data makes better pictures.

If I'm wrong somebody will let me know.

You are absolutely correct in that statement ....

Any and all processing that can be done in 16 bit will produce a better photo than processing in 8 bit.
