Shed door...color or B&W?

I thought this was a nice shot but still need some input. I tried it in B&W but was not impressed as with the color shot. What do you guys think?

that black X gives a sharp contrast that i think is what is causing you to blank when looking at it. that's my initial reaction to it.

I think to myself, great shot.. better without the X. I definitely like the color version. maybe wash it out a bit and mute the colors over all.

Try a muted canvas then embolden a few of the leaves on the branches in the foreground and whatever your central point of focus is - but not if its the door, because it's colors are already too washed out to make that idea work...

i babble a lot, huh? hopefully its helpful. oh well.

also, just under the overhang of the roof, i "cropped" it so to speak by moving the page past the browsers toolbar and that gave a cool look (iow, crop off the roof and see what that does for ya!).
