Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Like the title?

I am an amateur photographer and have sold a few prints to friends and family. Now a friend of the family has asked if she could hire me to take some photos of her grand kids. I would like to take the job, but was wondering what to ask for?

Here was my idea?
Charge for the session, give her the best photos on a cd, and offer to order her professional prints.

What do you guys recommend...and if this question is asked every day could you hook me up with a good thread.

Thanks.

Dan

after reading some more threads, I think posting the proofs online sounds like a better idea than the cd...so she can't print them off herself.

I was thinking maybe $75 for an hour session?
For those of you who do sell a CD, how much would you charge for a small portrait session?

You could always do a low res CD so the pics are not printabe quality but she couls still show friends or family who might want to buy pics and cant access computers, I think pic CD's ae viewable on DVD players

Just a thought, could you not give them a DVD instead of a CD so you could get larger images on the Disk?

do you have to give them a cd?

just give them proofs
