Shooting Models for Dummies

Not my most pressing question right now, but a short one. Is there somewhere I can get a crash course in how to pose and photograph a (female) model?

I figure this is largely a matter of acquired experience; and I've seen professional photoshoot albums before so I do have some notions. But I also feel like there's a 50-50 chance that there's a YouTube video or PowerPoint presentation (if not something more substantial) out there somewhere on "tips every photographer should know starting out." It's a case of not knowing how much I don't know. Anyone know something useful they can point me to?

Roberto Valenzuela is my absolute favorite of favorites. He has a Creative Live class available as well as three books, all of which are BRILLIANT. Picture Perfect Posing goes into detail about why you pose people in certain ways, rather than just giving a list of poses. I think he has a few sort of teaser clips on YouTube that might be worth checking just to get a feel for him.
