Shooting Tents -- Good, Bad, Indifferent?

I'm looking to shoot wine (in bottles and in glasses), hats, shirts, and other somewhat small products.

I've been surfing BHPhoto and have seen 'shooting tents' and they look pretty cool. Are they as good as they look? Or is it better to just shoot the products in the open with a backdrop, lights, and reflectors?

What are the better shooting tent brands?
