shopping cart too distracting?

what do you think about the shopping cart? this place still exists so i could probably recreate it to get rid of it (at the time it was chained there, now its gone)

and ps can anyone guess where this was taken? i can guarantee there is one near you

Yes. You could always just take it out if you know how?
What i would do is take the picture without the cart and you/friend, then do the picture of 'the jumper' in a studio or on a plain background,so you cant cut it out easily. That way you'll be able to get it so nothing is blurred and you wont feel like a fool jumping about in public.

Unless you want to do it with out any manipulation, then re-shoot it.
Cool idea though!

Is he jumping in relation to the cart (maybe he hit a fantastic sale?) or is it totally extraneous to what he is doing? I can't tell.

ETA - I see it was chained. The jumping for no reason...dunno. I think I need him to have a reason to jump other than, "Hey I found this cool red circle to jump in."

Technically it looks fine, though - the red is vivid and it's a nice clear shot.
