Shorty's Drink

Shorty, one of the feral cats we tend to in our back yard, likes to drink from the birdbath. Someday, I'll have to wait outside to try to get a better perspective of this phenomenon; but for now, this through-the-stormdoor shot is the best I can do, for if I open the door, he spooks and runs off. :thumbdown:

I see why you would like to capture him from the other side one day, but I also see in how far it could become difficult, if even opening the screen door would spook him away. It is the same as I experience with birds ... whether in my garden or elsewhere. They always fly away from me.

I still like this one as it is, though!

That's a cool shot from this angle too... is there anyway you could entice him to drink from the other side of the birdbath? Maybe put a little something on the far rim to make him curious? I like the background from this POV.
