Went out last night (first time shooting at night) and here are a couple. C & C of any kind welcome.

Did you use a filter to get the lights to have the point on them?
 
Wow, you did super-well, Krista! That first one of the bridge impresses me to the max! Coolest.

Did Richard tell you to use a SMALL aperture and LONG exposure for the starry-light-effect?

For that is the trick, 250Gimp: when you shoot at night, use a SMALL aperture (i.e. high number, such as f16 or f22) and long exposures with the camera firmly resting on a tripod (of course).

250gimp - i used a tripod with f10 and 30 sec exposure.

Lafoto - yes Richard was with me (how else am i going to learn all this stuff) he should be posting some soon i would think.
 
I really like the first one, good eye.
