(yes it did take off a nice chunk of skin from his thumb)

the background of #3 is really burry! lol... j/k!

#2 would be awesome if you got rid of the power lines which should be simple. and the cow? man, that's a hell of an opportunity. i mean, im not from cow country but i imagine the times a cow walks through the swamp are kinda nil.

Thank you guys! I will see what I can do about the power lines. I'll try to get em' out of there but i'm no expert w/ that stuff.

We were all just riding and we saw a cow walking so I jumped off the ATV and pulled out the camera and next thing I know there are about 10 or so cows crossing on through the marsh. I have a bunch of shots of it. I'm still uploading everything to flickr it's going to be a while 2gb from the weekend!

It was a really good time and I ended up liking quite of few of the shots I got too.
Thanks everyone for your C&C

The power lines should be very easy to clone out, they're tough to see as it is. Also I would crop it tighter vertically, but not too much. Love the colors you captured there.

The handgun shot is also cool but I think it should be cropped a bunch to get in much tighter.

The color saturation on that cow is awesome. In # 1 how did you light the tree? All are great!!

The 1st one I had a friend shoot the tree with a speed light about 4 times to evenly light it. My first shot of the tree it was all black and I wanted it to be lit up. Ya that cow was so cool going through there.

Ya i'll give that one a crop and put it up. Thank you. The sunset was amazing yesterday.

1 is really cool, but I would have tried to include the ground for a frame of reference in teh composition. Also, the sky is a bit noisy. Try doing some selective noise reduction. (I usually create another layer in photoshop of the exact same thing, blur it, and then mask it. It gives a nicer smoother result than just denoising)

2 is very nice, not much to say other than personally, I would have taken a step to the right. 50/50 comps usually don't work, but I think it might have in this situation.

3 cool composition, nice muted colors. I think it might have benefited from a slightly greater depth of field to keep all 3 buds in focus. Of course, you'd have to balance between that and keeping the very blurred background.

4 cool shot, and I think the large f number works well here. Is it just me or does it look like it's listing to the left?

5 very cool. I agree that it would benefit from cropping. Try taking some off of the top and bottom and a lot off of the left.

Ya I thought the same in 2 so I also took some not dead center.
