Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Good evening all,

A rather specific question has entered my mind, and unfortunately it's too late to call Sigma today. In the two links below are two different Sigma 300mm f4 APO lenses. One is a tele-macro (manufactured in 1997), the other is not (1995). I am looking at buying one, but cannot access the seller's photo gallery (technology at it's best.. :grumpy:). Other than asking the seller to describe the focus ring grip or to see if it says "tele-macro" on it, I'm not sure how to have him tell the two apart (over the phone).

Now, I would like to draw your attention to the bottom of the page of the lens in 1995. The SRP at launch says "N/A", vs the SRP for the 1997 lens of 699.95. Does the N/A mean that the 1995 lens was never produced/sold, meaning I can be certain that the lens in question is the 1997 version?

I realize this stems back a bit, but I like older, well-built lenses.

Any info at all will help tremendously!

Thanks!

Sorry, they are both designated "Macro".

The N/A basically means they don't know what the MSRP is.
