SIGMA 30MM

Hello Everyone, has anyone used the sigma 30MM? I Shoot with a D5100 and 35mm f/1.8. I saw some video footage shot with the 30mm and loved it. woundering if it would be a good second lens? THANKS, TOM

Welcome aboard Tom.

I had that lens (Canon mount for my Canon cameras). It was possibly the sharpest lens I've ever had....very nice image quality. However, the focus accuracy wasn't great and so shooting at large apertures (shallow DOF) was fairly hit and miss.

I eventually sold it when I moved to a full frame camera (it's not compatible with full frame).

My experience with my sigma 30 is almost exactly the same as Big Mike's.

what do think would be a good second lens? 85mm? or some kind of zoom/
