Have you considered the new Tamron 150-600 ?

I have not. How does it stack up against the other two?

I am looking to get one of two lenses, either:

Sigma 150-500mm F/5-6.3 DG OS HSM APO AutoFocus
Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM APO Autofocus Lens 737101 B&H

Or

Tamaron 200-500mm F/5-6.3 AF Di LD (IF)
Tamron 200-500mm f/5-6.3 SP AF Di LD (IF) Lens AF08C-700 B&H

Anyone have any experience with them? The site reviews seem about the same, with a mix of good and bad. The only thing to note is that the auto focus on the sigma seems to break easily.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, what camera body were you planning on using this with?

I have a Rebel T3i at the moment, but will eventually upgrade to a newer canon body.

Ok just wanted to check, the new Nikon d5300 has a few issues with some older sigma lenses that requires an update in the lens firmware.

I'm waiting a bit myself to see how the reviews on the new tamron pan out. But I currently have a sigma 2.8 70-200mm and I love it so if i can find a sigma 150-500 for the right price it would be hard to pass up.

Cool, Thanks for the input. I am looking for a longer lens for wildlife, the 55-200mm macro kit lens I have just does not cut it.
