anythoughts of how to make this better? I fell like it's too blown out.

Just use the levels command and use the lower set of arrows to 'cool' the picture.

This makes a very, very nice b&w

If you feel it is too blown out, you might consider going there again at another clear day like this one but closer to sunset?

I don't know I think I like the contrast of the very light stairs agains the dark ground.

I also felt that the picture was a tad to out of focus, maybe a use of a tripod or the wrong appature setting. Also this picture is ok to edit if anyone wants to make it better (which isn't hard) then go straight ahead.
