Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
This is my friend Kenny, performing with his band. Unfortunately, I cut his hand off, but none-the-less I would like some feedback for improvement.

Hi Marilynn, welcome to ThePhotoForum.
It is always difficult to photograph in low light. Focussing is often a problem for the lens or your eyes, and keeping the camera steady and still for the longer exposure times is a problem, too. You tried, and that is good.
The photo has some technical flaws, one of which is a general blurriness, and - of course, you mention it - the cut off hand. All in all I feel he is not placed in the best possible position within your frame, he should be more to the left, giving him room "to sing into" on the right, now he seems to sing "against the border", see what I mean?

And one unfortunate thing has happened here: the play of light and shadows has produced a very awkward shadow on his pants and now they look a little like ---- erm well  ---- as if he's "had an accident" (can I put it like this?).

Yeah, I got stuck on the far left side of the stage because everybody was pushing. His band wants me to go to their shows and takes for them, but I don't have much experience with live shows.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Well, if they specifically ask YOU to take their live photos, they might grant you some extra space for you to set up - space that will give you some more advantages than you had when you took this one? It should be discussed with them. For a photographer can only be as good as the room and time he/she is given for their taking the photos. And if you still have to gain experience, you need to be given that time (and room), too. You might want to discuss this with Kenny?
