Nasty looking cloud in the first shot.

The photos are well lit. Were you using a light set up?

yes i am using a light setup for the skating flicks. one flash to my right via sync cord and one flash up on the stairs to the left via optical slave. that's my cheap light setup till i get my pocket wizards in two weeks! but for the clouds and portrait, those were just natty light.

Well, I sure love the first, the one that is no skating pic, for that is a very interesting cloud coming up onto the little town. Also I like to see that place, it looks interesting to me, too, since everything around me here in Germany sure looks very different. The light is very sweet in that one, too, and it is so clear and sharp!

And I like the portrait pic of the skater.
The skating pics as such look daring to me, but then all of these jumps do - I don't get how anyone can do this :wink:

I like #3 and think #4 would be better is there was more space infron of the skater rather than behind him.
