I think I will put on a macro lens & take a couple more shots after seeing that there is not a lot of detail in this shot.
 
Nice. Never see this before. Looks like it's a huge snake. Did you use 50mm at f16? What reason makes you use small aperture? Why not widest aperture?

The lens is a 50mm,1:2 macro & I used f16 to maximize the depth of field (DoF). If I had shot wide open @ f3.5 my DoF would have only been a few millimeters.
