Slioch (The Spear) named after the pointed ridges on this hill is a bit of an icon in the landscape. Sitting above Loch Maree it very distincitive shape is easily recognisable. The mrs and I had a wander down the river Griudie in serch of some dragonflies but the ground got quite boggy even in the dry spell we were having. I'd have loved to have been able to get a bit closer to the water but this was as close as I felt comfortable getting. Wouldn't have been the first time I've dissapeared up to my thigh in bog! so I've learned to abe a little cautious. A bit off the beaten track (there's no paths at this point) it was very sunny and hot, but a lovely walk.
This is an 11 shot parorama. The enormity of the landscape in the higlands is awesome.
