The Minolta may live. The Nikon and Yashica never (at least I don't think so)

Also got a Vivitar Zoom Thrystor 2500 flash but even with freshly charged NimH nothing happens.

Irritated that no lens for the Nikon was found. Would like a 50mm like the other two have.

I think the Minolta could. The viewfinder has an obstruction but the inside is pretty clean. Corrosion and rust killed the Yashica, Corrosion the Nikon.

If anybody has a 50mm Nikom it need not be fast or even clear it would go nicely on the Nikon for display purposes.

Anyone know what button cells the Minolta takes? Thank goodness all the batteries were removed without the chance of exploding or such. I want to check function on the Minolta.

Looks like 2L76 or the LR44 if that is an X-7.

Putting a pair of 357 batteries in the Minolta got it to beep fast at me a couple times but no amount of fiddling got the shutter to release. So I guess the Minolta is only good for display like the others.

Yes, LR44, or equivalent, pretty standard 1.5 volt buttons...

did you find a Nikon lens ?
I have a reasonably clean Nikon 50mm F2 for the price of postage by pay pal on receipt .
Be better to get old cameras working .
