I recently got a Fujifilm FinePix s700.

Not the best camera out there, i know. but it was within my parents budget, and alot better than my old cannon compact cam.

What do you think?? C and C please.

Travel alot?

All these shots are taken right here in east london, south africa.

Most of the time, a good photographer can overcome mediocre equipment. Most of your shots are very nice. In #1, the sky is blown, but #2 & 3 are pleasant, if a little boring subject wise. Also, in the sand pictures, the sky is blown out too, but the others are nicely done. Keep up the good work.

Very nice. You are in a very beautiful area of the world!

yeah. its really beautiful here, so many political issues lately though...

The photos could more easily be commented on if they were numbered.
But I personally quite like the last but one in the first (long) series, the moon rise.

And the fourth (very orange sunset) looks quite African to me. I doubt such trees can be found elsewhere (or can they?).

You spotted the scenes nicely where you photographed the reflections in the calm waters of the lake - and early in the morning, by the look of things.

I also like the sharpness of your close-up on that droplet. Very nice, all in all. You seem to be enjoying your new camera. That's good :D.

LaFoto, The trees are African. South African to be more specific
