I recently went to the zoo for some nature shots, with my new canon XSI & 70-300 lens.

I'm still pretty new into using a DSLR, other than when I used it in photography class, so don't be tooo harsh. xD

Hi there

You have so nice pics A few things I noticed:

#1 I think this is really cool! If you could have gotten a little more reflection in the eye and not perfectly centered the alligator, I think it would have been even better, but it still works as is too

#4 This is maybe my personal favorite, but I would have liked the empty space on the right side of him. Generally you want your subject to face "into" the picture.

#5 is really nice too and has great detail, although his wing is clipped just a tad. I'm certainly not complaining though, I have yet to get a good picture of a bird in flight!

Number 5 is my personal favorite also, I did an outloud "Yes!" when I saw the shot on my camera. I might have scared some little kids that were standing near me.
